Clarence Homo Sapien explores a muddy relationship between Mick, a reclusive novelist played by Justin Karoway-Waterhouse and Clarence (Jared Starr) that slowly twists and contorts in upon itself as Clarence becomes more obsessed with Mick. One day, Mick decides to place a classified ad in the newspaper looking for some help in cleaning up around his home. When he gets Clarence, everything seems fine at first until Clarence becomes increasingly demanding of Mick's affection, culminating in a golf club attack on Mick's best friend, David Parmenter, and his immortal beloved car. Shot entirely on DV and processed in a new style never before seen, Clarence is a front-runner in a new breed of edgy, no-holds-barred, digital cinema.
