What is organic food?
Organic food is food that is produced without the use of synthetic and petroleum based pesticides and fertilizers (as is most food produced today) and without growth hormones and steroids in meats. Buying and eating organically raised food is both healtier for you and also a more responsible choice for our planet (and subsequently - our children). For more information, click here.

Organic food is a safer bet for you and your family because organicaly produced food is food that is grown using the same time-tested methods that Mother Nature has employed for millenia. Why is organic food more expensive?
All things being considered, organic food is actually cheaper than conventional food. So why does it cost more money at the store? The reasons are several:
1) Industrial agriculture benefits from strong lobying efforts. These lobies have created large subsidies that artificially reduce the price of food. These subsidies are generated by your govenment using your tax dollars. Since most organic food (currently) is not produced by giant agri-farms, the smaller companies do not benefit by the subsidies and must charge more to make ends meet.
2) Industrial Agriculture produces massive amounts of crops and by selling in large quantities, efficiencies are created. Unfortunately, one of the downsides of these gigantic operations, is the pollution of the land on which the farms reside and the surrounding communities.
3) Conventional food costs less today, but will cost us dearly tommorrow. Many of the "costs" associated with massive agri-businesses, are the environmental costs that we are blindly passing on to future generations. Industrial agriculture causes desertifycation of the lands on which it resides, destroys aquifers, and causes numerous carcenogenic compounds that find their way invariably into animals and people. These costs are never considered at the grocery store.
But despite how easy it is to ignore them for now, these long-term costs will eventually be paid. As George Bush Sr. famously quoted, "The American way of life is not negotiable." When all our farmland has turned to desert, when our petro-chemical fertilizers are gone, when our waters are too toxic to drink, the debts will be due and we will learn Bush Sr's lesson that, "Mother nature will not be open to negotiations."
Organic food passes no environmental debt on to our childern and is therefore, the cheapest alternative available.
Is organic food tasty?
Be sure not to confuse, "healthy eating" with organic foods. The Hungry Little Turtle is capable of whipping up a chocolate cake so rich and so decadent, that it would stop your heart before you ate the last bite. Not all organic food is high in fiber or low in fat. Organic food's promise is that all it contains is actual food - and that it was grown in a natural way that didn't harm the land from which it was raised. So far as we're concerned, Red#40 and petrolium aren't seasonings - but rather detractors! In fact, many people feel that organic foods are MORE tasty than their growth-accelerated cousins. Some specific examples of this are organic brocolli and organic carrots!
What size party can you accomodate?
At this time, we can accomodate up to 25 people at your party.
Do you require a deposit?
Our policy is to request 50% up front as a deposit. The balace is due the day of the event.
Do I get my money back if I cancel?
We use the deposit money to purchase the food for the party. So the amount we can refund you upon hearing of a cancellation will vary based on how much notice before the party we have. The refund could be anywhere between 100%-0% of your deposit - less a $100 service fee for the labor spent in going to market for the food. Though, if we have purchased food for your party, and you do cancel, you are of course entitled to all of the food purchased on your behalf! If the cancellation is within 48 hours of the event, we must also charge a $100 preparation fee as time has been spent preparing your food. No refunds can be given if an event is cancelled within 24 hours of the event.
